Jonathan Wilby was born in Yorkshire and trained in Coventry, joining Band Hatton in 1989 after graduating in Business Law (LLB). He qualified as a Solicitor in 1996, and became a Partner in 2001.

Jon is the lead partner in the Litigation department, dealing with commercial litigation, high and county court issues, debt recovery, and property disputes. Jon also handles personal injury claims and professional negligence cases.

He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel. Jon enjoys spending time with his family, and watching all sports.

John French was born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire graduating with an LLB from Birmingham University and qualified subsequently as a barrister at the Inns of Court School of Law before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2005. John is presently an assistant Solicitor in the Department.

John deals with all areas of civil/commercial litigation as well as alcohol licensing matters, health & safety prosecutions, environmental prosecutions, plus road traffic matters, regularly attending court on behalf of his clients. John heads up the Licensing Department and in addition deals with some non-contentious and contentious employment law work. John has also qualified as an ADR Group accredited civil/commercial mediator.

Raj Somal was born in Coventry and is currently a Trainee Solicitor with Band Hatton. She is currently studying the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law concurrently with her training contract. Raj has spent considerable time in the family and litigation department and is currently working in the Corporate and Commercial department, whilst continuing to oversee debt recovery matters.

Raj is Vice-Chair of the Coventry & Warwickshire First Young Professionals group and an active member of the Warwickshire Law Society Young Lawyers group. She has been keenly involved in networking and business development. She has a particular interest in sport and Raj enjoys reading (topical and fiction), socialising, cooking (and eating!) as well as dancing.

Charlotte Fisher was born in Horsham and moved to Coventry at a young age. She went to school in Coventry and graduated at Oxford Brookes University in 2010. Charlotte studied her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Birmingham. Charlotte is currently a Trainee Solicitor with Band Hatton in the Litigation department whilst overseeing debt recovery matters.

Charlotte is currently involved in the Association of Women Society and is a member of the Warwickshire Law Society Young Lawyers Group. She enjoys going to the gym in her spare time and spending time with her friends and family.
