Philip Costigan has lived in Coventry since he was 5 years old, was educated at King Henry VIII School and Bristol University, joining Band Hatton in 1975 and qualifying as a Solicitor in 1977. He became a Partner in 1982.

Philip deals with all areas of commercial property, including sales and purchases, landlord and tenant, construction and project development. He is responsible for developing and handling a substantial caseload of property-related work for some of the firm's larger commercial clients.

Philip is Chair of the Warwickshire Law Society’s Non-Contentious Business Committee and Past President of the Warwickshire Law Society. He is the current Vice-Chair of Coventry & Warwickshire First, and a Trustee Director of Coventry Heritage and Arts.

Haydn Jones was born in Coventry and obtained a law degree at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne before joining Band Hatton in 1975  and qualifying as a Solicitor in 1977. He became a Partner in 1982.

Haydn deals with commercial property, including purchases and sales, leases and other landlord and tenant issues. He has extensive knowledge in charity law and practice and is legal adviser to a major local charity, and lead partner for the firm’s Charities Unit and Agricultural Unit.

He is a keen photographer in his spare time, and enjoys listening to music and dog walking in the Cotswolds where he now lives.

Julie Calcott was born in Buckingham. Julie originally joined Band Hatton in 1975 and returned in 1987 as a Secretary.  She then trained as a Legal Executive with Band Hatton and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1998.

Julie became an Associate in 2003 and became Head of the Residential Property Department in 2008.   Julie’s expertise is in all types of property work, both residential and, more particularly, commercial property .  Julie is also our resident expert on Buy to Let and residential lease extensions.

She is a keen walker and also enjoys caravanning, having towed her caravan all over Europe.  #
